Fee Determination

In accordance with applicable regulations and professional practices, fees are freely agreed between the lawyer and the client.

After the initial consultation, I will send you a fee proposal and a fee agreement. This agreement sets out clearly the scope of my involvement, the mandate entrusted to me, and the fees due. The initial consultation will be complimentary if you proceed with my services; otherwise it will be billed at the hourly rate of 280 € excl. VAT.

Depending on the complexity and urgency of the matter, fees may be structured in several ways:

• Time-based fees: the lawyer's work (meetings, case review, drafting of documents, hearings, telephone consultations, etc.) is billed based on time spent at a set hourly rate. A retainer may be requested at the opening of the file.
• Fixed fees: a fixed or recurring fee (monthly, for instance) covering a defined scope of the lawyer's services. It enables long-term support with cost certainty, and may be the preferred option depending on the nature of your needs.
• Success-based fees: depending on the nature of the matter, a success fee may be agreed. This is a supplementary fee (in addition to fixed or time-based fees) corresponding to a percentage of the amounts recovered in favour of the client or the saving achieved compared to the opposing party's claim.

All amounts quoted are exclusive of tax and will be increased by the applicable VAT rate at the time of invoicing.

The applicable VAT rate is 20%.

Additional Costs

Certain costs, not included in the fees, remain the client's responsibility, such as: translator, notary, tax fees, court costs, publication fees, bailiff, instructed counsel, postage, judicial expert, chartered accountant, etc.

Payment Terms

Maître Aline Camus practises as a sole practitioner (entrepreneur individuel).

Payment — by bank transfer — may be made in instalments, according to agreed terms.
